What the framework distinguishes
An online game in which a user pays fees, deposits money or stakes something in expectation of monetary or other enrichment; prohibited under the Act, subject to the statutory text.
A game offered for entertainment, recreation or skill development that does not involve staking money in expectation of enrichment. Registration rules may apply to notified categories.
A recognised competitive activity under the framework, subject to the Act’s criteria and registration process.
